CGS Motorsports Teases SEMA Show 2011 Chevy Camaro with Supercharged V8

CGS Motorsports, a California-based company that specializes on high-performance exhaust and air intake systems, released a teaser sketch of a customized 2011 Chevy Camaro it will bring to the tuner-event in Las Vegas.

The CGS Motorsports-prepped Camaro will get an upgraded version of GM's 6.2-liter V8 fitted with a Whiplpe twin-screw supercharger and one of the company's cat-back exhaust systems, pumping out some 500-ponies. The car also benefits from Chris Alston's Fab 9 rear end with a latter bar and coil over suspension, 22-inch alloys shod in Pirelli tires, a custom paint job, a ZR1 influenced hood, and a body kit by ACS.

2011 Audi R8 Cabriolet

Audi will add a convertible version of the R8, called the R8 5.2 Cabriolet. Power will come from the 525 hp V10 introduced for the 2010 model year.

Chevy will launch the convertible version of the Camaro as a 2011 model. This is the concept version shown here; the production looks similar, but the grille, wheels, mirrors and other details are similar to the 2010 Camaro coupe.

2011 Ford Mustang

The 2011 Mustang hasn't changed much on the outside, but it's changed big under the hood with two new engines. The old cam-in-block V6 base engine gives way to a new 24-valve 3.7 liter V6 that develops 305 horsepower and scores up to 31 MPG on the highway. The GT gets a new "5.0" badge to denote its 5.0 liter V8 (a proper 5.0, not a 4.9 like the Mustangs of the 80s and 90s). Output is an SRT8-chasing 412 horsepower.

2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Mercedes' new supercar draws its styling cues from the 300SL of the 1950s, right down (up?) to the gullwing doors. The SLS AMG is powered by a new, more-powerful-than-ever version of AMG's 6.2 liter V8; it puts out 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a seven-speed twin-clutch automatic mounted in the rear of the car.

Rolls-Royce sees record sales despite recession

A Rolls-Royce Phantom sits alongside Spyker sports cars at an Illinois dealership. The British-made luxury car builder is experiencing record demand for their vehicles which have a starting price around $240,000.

All models are sold out until at least September, with Phantom Saloons sold out until October with the majority of the demand coming from China.

Porsche issues Mideast recall on seat belt faults

Luxury carmaker Porsche has issued a recall of all Porsche Panamera cars in the Middle East after a fault was discovered in the seat belt fastening system, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

- Introduce your self to everyone

Mashail Al Shamlan .. the owner of KEY LARGO GARAGE in Shuwaikh.

- Girls usually think about fashion, catering or accesories related projects when they want to establish one.

What made you choose a men/guys related project? or Can I say, How did this idea poped in to your mind?

well i guess it was a twist of fate !? i had an accident and while i was in shuwaikh looking for a garage to fix my car .. i saw this garage, and while i was having a conversation with the owner .. he mentioned that he was planning on selling it .. and without hesitation i bought it Immediately.

- How do you find working in such an atmosphear, with all the cars, dirts, noise, machiens and "Looya" in general.

well i love my work with all the looya .. and i dont mind getting my hands dirty.

- Do you have Girls customers as you are a Girl manager of the project?

No, but thats only because they didnt know about me and my garage .. but after my participation in P2BK on march,2010 ..alot of girls and ladies starts calling my garage either to ask about a job or to have their cars fixed.

-Do you have girls who are working with you in the garage ?

Unfortunately no

- What would make the customer choose your garage over all those garages out there? in another words. what is the attraction point of your garage.

We provide the best car service and we are well known for our professional paint job work.

- Are family and friends with or against your project? how much support do you get from people around you?

Well at 1st not all of my family were supportive, but they respect my decision, but the best support am getting is from my older sister and her husband, they are always encouraging me & giving me ideas.

- what is the most important lesson did you learned from such an experience.?

There is nothing impossible in this life.

UAE Ferrari and Maserati dealers, Al Tayer Motors, in association with Ferrari Middle East and Africa, last week introduced the amazing new 458 Italia to a gathering of local press in Dubai’s One and Only Royal Mirage.

Deliveries in the region started last week and with production being capped at 2000 cars per year, there’s a 2-3 year waiting list on the car already.

McLaren unveils its new supercar

A test model of the new McLaren supercar, the MP4-12C, at the carmaker's factory in Woking, England.

The MP4-12C can go from 0-200km per hr in under 10 seconds and will cost $250,000 to buy new.

Nissan orders huge recall on Middle East cars

Nissan has confirmed in a statement that there are 32,147 vehicles in the Middle East potentially affected by a fuel gauge inaccuracy and another 15,670 affected by faulty brake pedal pins.

The Japanese automaker said that the 2008 and 2010 Nissan Titan, Armada and Infiniti QX56, and the 2008-2009 Nissan Quest, are potentially affected by faulty brake pedal pins.
The statement also said that vehicles with high mileage levels may have fuel gauges which incorrectly indicate the amount of fuel in the vehicle’s tank.
