Nissan has confirmed in a statement that there are 32,147 vehicles in the Middle East potentially affected by a fuel gauge inaccuracy and another 15,670 affected by faulty brake pedal pins.
The Japanese automaker said that the 2008 and 2010 Nissan Titan, Armada and Infiniti QX56, and the 2008-2009 Nissan Quest, are potentially affected by faulty brake pedal pins.
The statement also said that vehicles with high mileage levels may have fuel gauges which incorrectly indicate the amount of fuel in the vehicle’s tank.
Nissan said in the statement that repairs for incorrect brake pedal pins and correction of fuel gauge inaccuracies will begin immediately. Customers are encouraged to call the carmaker’s regional call centre for clarification and assistance.
"We are asking customers with potentially affected vehicles to bring them to a Nissan dealership for a quick, simple, visual inspection and, if necessary, repair," the company said.
The statement comes days after Nissan announced a global recall of around 540,000 vehicles, and follows the recall of more than 8 million cars by Toyota Motor Corp.
