Welcome to the official site of "THE UFO". The purpose of this production is to give newlife to the famous character GRENDIZER, created in the Seventies by the great Japanese comics author GO NAGAI (Mazinga Z, the Great Mazinga, Jeeg, Devilman, Getta Robot). Appeared in 1975 on the Japanese TV and, after 1978, in Italy (Godrake) and France (Goldorak), Grendizer was a big hit, becoming immediately a cult. Now, after twenty-five years, we started to create the EPISODE ZERO, thought as if it was the prequel of the first cartoon episode.Here you'll find some details about the MOVIE. Every week the site will be updated with screen shots and other stuff of our developing movie, which we hope will be finished within the END of 2004.We started developing the movie in the summer of 2001.The first thing was to write the STORYBOARD. After a few time, we decided to make a totally new EPISODE of twenty minutes, like the standard original TV episode.The TEAM spent six months to create the space suit, the control seat of the robot, and one week with the troupe dipped in the SNOW.The movie has two real actors, and the rest has been created thanks to a wide use of Computer Graphic.In this episode Doctor Umon (PROCTON in Italy) meets for the first time Daisuke (ACTARUS in Italy), whose suit was quite restyled, though it still keeps its peculiar aspect. In fact, we didn't want to loose the spirit of the original episodes at all.
