Turns out, Beyonce Knowles, spent New Year’s Eve performing at a private concert for (you’d never guess it) Moutassim “Hannibal”Gaddafi, the son of controversial Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
The singer reportedly flew to St. Barts (along with half of Hollywood) for the end of year bash and was paid an exorbitant Dhs7.34 million. Unfortunately for B, the one hour she spent on stage has landed her in the centre of a controversy. It seems people aren’t exactly thrilled about the “independent” singer performing at a party for a man accused of violence against women. His father’s hostility towards the US isn’t too favoured either. Beyonce has yet to release a statement on the issue.
The extravagant party at Nikki Beach nightclub was also attended by some of the famous folks that were holidaying on the Caribbean island including Lindsay Lohan, Usher and of course Jay-Z. Guests paid Dhs44,000 for a table to attend the party.
