McLaren unveils its new supercar



A test model of the new McLaren supercar, the MP4-12C, at the carmaker's factory in Woking, England.


The MP4-12C can go from 0-200km per hr in under 10 seconds and will cost $250,000 to buy new.

It has the world's first carbon fibre monocell chassis.

The supercar has cost $1.5bn in production to date.


McLaren's plan is to make 1,000 cars in the first year and then up to 4,000 a year following that is demand is great.

In the factory there are many different former race winning cars on display.
