It’s not officially being labeled as the “next 356″, but according to reports, Porsche has confirmed that a new “baby” Boxster is on its way. Apparently, Porsche want to move the Cayman and Boxster models upmarket which doesn’t necessarily mean that the smaller version will be significantly cheaper either. One thing yet to be confirmed is the power source, which it seems Porsche are considering using a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine pumping out 250 bhp. The reason for not using their delightful 6-cylinder would most probably be due to weight and efficiency targets. In my opinion, if they are going to revive the legendary 356 name, it better be damn good!
